I tell them about Daniel. The whole story.
‘Are you in love with him?’ Erica asks.

‘Is it because there is noone else?’
‘No. It’s real. He said he’d leave his wife for me. He was joking…’.
‘Noone jokes about things like that.’
‘No. I know.’
‘You can’t go for someone who isn’t strong enough to make a break if he’s not happy. Do you want to be with someone who… is she going with him?’

OMG. I’m in the shower at the gym. Water flooding across my face. Tears.
Daniel is leaving. He’s moving to Brighton. He just grabbed me on the stairs as I was going up to change. Brought me in to a beauty room and sat me down. He looked into my eyes. It was hard for him. And told me. He’s lost the passion for training and wants to get it back. In Brighton.
Another trainer walks in to us. I jump up. As if I’ve been caught out doing something wrong. I guess I have.
