Chronicles of a Serial Dater

In Search of Mr Right

4 July (part 2)

Jewish finally called at 1.40pm.  I missed the call as I was already on the ‘phone.  He wanted to know what the ‘plan’ is for tonight.  I didn’t call him back.

He then texted.

‘Hi babe.  Tried to ring earlier.  Still on for later?  X’

Am I f***.

‘Hey!  Sorry no i didnt think we were going out so have plans.x’

He called straight back.  I didn’t pick up.  I listened to the message.  He sounded a touch exasperated.  Now you know how I feel sunshine.

‘Hun I thought when we said we would be going out on Saturday we would see each other.  I didn’t call yesterday as I went straight to the concert.  Would you call me back so we can arrange another time?’

I’m now sitting in at home.  Feeling awful.  It shouldn’t be like this.  I’m not convinced he’s the nice guy I thought he was.  This was supposed to be our third date and he’s already taking me for granted.

If he calls again I’ll give him another chance.  Natch I’ll be super sweet about it.  One of Jessica’s friend’s mother’s is a relationship counsellor.  The professional advice, I kid you not, is men are like dogs and have to be treated as such.  Jeepers.

To think I was considering having sex with him tonight.

Rule 26: A man is as good as his word.  If he doesn’t call when he says he is going to he is no good.  Don’t date a no-good man

Rule 27: If you treat men like dogs you can’t go far wrong.  Reward them for good behavour and punish them for bad behaviour
